Soy wax makes the best candles

Most mass-produced candles are made from paraffin, a by-product of petroleum refining.

Ours are made from soy wax for…

A longer, slower burn

Soy wax has a much lower melting point than paraffin wax, meaning soy candles burn for longer.

A well made soy candle can last 30–50% longer than a paraffin equivalent. The melt pool forms gradually, releasing fragrance steadily rather than flooding a room and disappearing.

The result is a candle that feels unhurried, and earns its place.

Sustainable candles

Unlike paraffin wax, made from petrollium, soy wax is a vegetable wax made from soy bean oil. It’s biodegradable and renewable.

When grown responsibly, soy beans are a renewable resource, unlike crude oil which causes environmental disruption and destruction at every stage of production, and will, of course, eventually run out.

For a product designed to bring calm into your home, beginning with a plant rather than a fossil fuel feels like the obvious choice.

Clean burning candles

All candles produce some soot as they burn. The difference lies in how much, and what else is released alongside it.

Paraffin wax is composed of straight-chain hydrocarbons. As they combust, they can produce heavier soot and trace petrochemical residues.

Soy wax burns more cleanly, producing significantly less soot and no petroleum by-products.

It’s simply a more considered material to have in your living space.
